Limoges, Perigord and Central FranceIf you head south from Paris by train or car, you will find yourself in the historic town of Limoges. Famed for the porcelain dinnerware produced in this major city, the farmland and countryside of the region will provide you with a different taste of France. From prehistoric rock architecture to this haunting memories of Oradour, this area is a fascinating place to visit The main attraction in the area for us was the town of Oradour which was recommended to us as a must-see attraction in France by my husband's French friend. But we were intrigued by the beauty of the countryside and found ourselves traveling rural roads to some great spots off the beaten path. |
